Bill Schrempf
Principal and Co-Founder
Bill Schrempf has a remarkable track record as a turnaround manager.
He has run several global businesses and is presently a PointStar
Principal, a company he co-founded in 1988. His extensive career
in general management, beginning at the age of 26, has included
award-winning turnarounds for such large companies as NCCI, Inc.,
CIGNA, Teledyne, Johnson & Johnson, and American Standard.
His management experience includes data services, insurance, consulting
services, biotechnology, medical imaging, health care, appliances
and air-conditioning equipment.
In addition to his general management experience, he has also
been a successful management consultant, advising client executives
and Boards of Directors as they have assessed their businesses,
developed or refined their strategies, planned and implemented
major corporate acquisitions, turnarounds and transformations,
managed major changes, and integrated acquisitions. Mr. Schrempf
has been a frequent writer and speaker on issues related to management
and the insurance industry.
Very active in his community, Mr. Schrempf is also an instrument-rated
private pilot, a published poet, and an avid biker. He served
as a White House Fellow and Assistant to the Secretary of Defense
by Presidential Appointment in 1972-73 and holds a Master’s
Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree
in Economics from Stanford University. |
